I love nuts!!?!
Answers: Especially cashew nuts..sometimes i'll have 10-12 handfuls each day..how do I stop being addicted to them??
If you are not fat, there's no reason to be alarmed.
I still stick to what I said. If you can eat more than 2000 calories a day and not get fat (I assume you have been doing this for a while), it's obvious that you are burning it off, either through a high metabolism or exercise, or both. Unlike animal fats, there is no 'hidden danger' of cholesterol from nuts. If you're eating too much, it will show on your figure.
Who cares they are tasty!
I guess you could just punch yourself in the face every time you eat one?
I am a NUT!!! love me!!!
Unless you are over weight they cause no harm. Your body probably needs the proteins or oils in them that is why you crave them. Otherwise you might just be craving something to chew on.
Nuts contain a high amount of essential protein, so I guess it's not that bad, but you have to look at the other side of your dilemma and realize that about a handful of cashews contains about 190 calories. That means that by the end of the day, (given that you eat 10-12 handfuls a day) you've eaten roughly 2000 calories- in just cashews!
They really are high in fat and calories. About the only answer is willpower-quit using the excuse that you are "addicted" though, unless you have physical withdrawal when you don't eat them. That's just a way to put the responsibility elsewhere than yourself.
