I'm healthy eating, ate breakfast 2hrs ago and still hungry! What should i eat?!


Question: For breakfast i ate a plum, grapes and porridge. I'm hungry again should i eat? How many meals a day should i eat? I never used to have breakfast but it helps you lose weight. So, what other meals should i eat today?

My daughter is 16 and she says shes always hungry even after she eats... LOL ...my advice to you is the same, most of the time you may think your hungry but what your body wants is water. Eating is so much enjoyable people fill up on food not water. So what I'm saying is drink lots of water when you feel hungry or Green Tea. My daughter and I are also trying to watch what we eat and so far she has lost 10 pounds and I have lost 21! Below are great sites for different ideas for foods to eat.

Good luck...and one of our favorites is an apple , sharp cheddar cheese and a few saltines....and a glass of Lipton's diet citrus green tea.

Hi there.. I work for Weight Watchers as a leader consultant.
just hte act of eating breakfast does not help you lose weight. Your metabolism burns the most brightly in the earlier hours, so it is good to take advantage of that and also to prevent feeling "starved" arounf lunchtime. (which leads to over eating)
You should eat whenever you feel hungry. But do not confuse thirst with hunger. Many people are chronically dehydrated. (they do not drink enough water) Sometimes your stomach "grumbles" from dehydration, so have a glass of water before you eat.
Also, a fluctuation blood sugar level will also make your stomach 'grumble". If you have a sugar binge, or bread binge, your stomach will grumble in a few hours. Keep in mi nd that fruits and porridge are healthy but can also be balanced by protein, so eat a little bit of protein a few hours after that breakfast.
Good Luck and don't focuso n teh scale. Focus on how you and your body are feeling and react to that instead.

RAVA UPPUMA

Rava Uppuma is Vegitarian items made up of Rava & Vegitables. It is good for Health. It will withstand for 5 Hours.

Required Items: ( for 3 Persons)

1. Rava - 250 Rm
2.Carrot -2 nos
3.Geen Peas -100gm
4.Tomato -1 nos
5.Onion -100gms(chopped)
6.Green Chillies-50gm
7.Curry Leaves/Dania Leaves -1 small Bunch
8.Oil -100 ml
9.Salt to Taste
10. Mustered -1 small spoon

Method
1. Roast Rava till it become light brown colour ( Do it in slow heat ). Keep it separately.
2. Add oil in Tava and add Mustured, after spurtling of Mustured add Onion,Tomato,Green Chillies,Curry Leaves, Green Peas and fry for 10 minites. Add 500ml water on this stuff and add Salt and boil it for 10 Minites. Add Roadted Rava into this Stuff and go on Stir it slowely until it becomes thick. ( All water will evoporate )
Now your RAVA UPPUMA is Ready Garnish with Dania Leaves

You can have with Sugar or Coconut Chutni.

Do not bother. Take the receip of Coconut Chatni.

1. Coconut -100 gm Grated
2. Green Chilllies-2 or 3 nos ( as per your Taste)
3.Roasted Ground Nut -50 nos
4.Garlic -2 loves
5.Salt tp taste

Add all this items in Mixer and grind it with 50 ml water. Now you Coconut Chatni is ready.

It's great that you are eating breakfast, yes it is important. It kick starts your metabolism. It's a good idea to eat foods which are low G.I. (glycaemic index) These foods fill you up for longer. I usually have real porridge (plenty!) done in the microwave for 3 mins and a piece of wholegrain toast. Or an egg either omelette style or scrambled, depends on your taste of course, and again a piece of wholegrain toast. A grilled bacon and tomato sarnie on wholegrain bread is a good breakfast too. Peanut butter on toast and a banana and yoghurt is another idea. Remember you need to eat approx 2200 calories a day at your age (but make sure they are good calories) I usually use my 3 portions of fruit as snacks for between meals and then have at least 3 vegetables with my evening meal, and lot's of water 'cos sometimes thirst makes you think that you are hungry! Hope this helps.

Get some Muesli bars and fruit bars from the health section in the supermarket,and have those at these times when your blood sugar levels drop. Or eat a piece of fruit.
