Toast, chips and nice smells?!

Question: I asked a question earlier about what colours and sounds would taste like(if you were able that is). Been thinking (sorry) and wondered if anyone else thinks the smell of toast and the smell of chips is actually better than the taste ot the finisned food.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just eat the smell.

I think the smell of bacon is actually better than eating it, likewise strong coffee, love the smell but makes me want to throw up if I drink it.

Somethings smell much nicer than they actually taste but i think smell and taste come together. If we couldnt smell...i dont think things would taste as good and vice versa....do you see what i mean?
