Do you put the cap on an empty bottle when throwing it away?!

Question: I always put the cap back on and have a hard time breaking the habit.

Answers: I always put the cap back on and have a hard time breaking the habit.

Definitely a habit. Hey, at least it's not a bad habit. LOL

If it's a plastic bottle, I crush it and then put the cap back on so it doesn't re-inflate. Otherwise, no. I don't suppose it hurts anything to put it on though. Why bother trying to break that habit.

Why bother..Garbage is Garbage.....unless you plan on throwing a note in there..and see who answers it!!

I do because it may help keep bugs and other pests away.

Yes

No because no matter what kind of bottle it is , i usually end up losing the top before it is empty anyway

I do. Even though I know you're not supposed to for recycling. It is a tough habit to break...

yeah i usually to just because it keeps the bugs flies out.... but its really not that big of a deal

hahaha! I often cannot find the cap to the bottle I'm tossing! But when I do have the cap, I squeeze the air out of the bottle first and cap it collapsed, so it takes less room in the garbage.

Answer number one was close. Flatten out the bottle as much as possible, then toss it. This way it will not re-inflate IN THE LANDFILL. Otherwise leave the lid off, so the landfill can crush it.

You do not want the earth to fall from under you years from now, when that inflated bottle finally does spring a leak and deflate. Take several thousand of these bottles in just one landfill, you are talking about a lot of trapped air under the ground.

Yes, because even rinsing does not eliminate all odors. Our recyclables are kept inside, so I also do not want anything that would attract pest. Plus, if the lid is plastic shouldn't it also be recycled.
Peace.

it depends what kind of beverage it is...if its beer the cap it lost before its finished, if its liquor i make sure i have a cap (you never want to spill that **** its expensive lol)

Uh uh! I leave mine de cap itatated*
