If you go to a restaurant, as well as the main course, do you prefer a starter or pudding?!

Question: Also, what is your favourite starter and/or pudding? My favourite starter is salted spare ribs; don't usually have pudding but, if I did, it would be tirramansu

Pudding for I would rather round the meal off with a sweet rather than spoil the main course with a starter.

starter not into sweet things

Starter, Soup, Chilli Nachos or Chicken wings,

i usually get wedges or something smal for a starter and i love hot fudge cake with ice cream yum

I don't order starters. However, I would go for the pudding especially if it's chocolate.

I usually don't have either. They are so expensive and the main course usually fills me up anyway. In fact, I often have to take some of my main course home with me, so getting a starter seems like a waste of money. Sometimes I'll go out for ice cream or coffee after a meal or even prepare a dessert at home later. These are so much cheaper than eating dessert in a restaurant. If I were rich, I would probably still not get a starter very often, but I would get dessert more.

I like something with a bit of starch in it. For example cheese fries, or cheese sticks.

hummmm I like starters as well as desert or what you english call pudding. a fave starter would potato skins. they melt cheese on them with bacon and sour cream. mmmm that is good eats. for pudding I like cobblers, or something choclate both need to have ice cream with them.

I lurve asparagus for a starter, but its hard to get in some places, so tend to have garlic mushrooms!

I dont do desserts, too sweet and I am sweet enough! not

Probably a starter. I'm not much into sweets.

if i had more money i'd prefer both, normally starter and a main, as you can normally get some really good desserts from supermarkets these days,

fav starter, anything with prawns
fav dessert, creme brulee, and triffle

i say pudding any time, but maddie says starter...sweet or savoury??

Pudding every time, no doubt.

starter, soup

Starter,
Black pudding tower, with mustard & wine dressing.

Pudding defintly, a starter is just lk a mini main course and you dont want two. Pudding something sweet to contrast and round the meal off.

mmm..... starter! nachos, garlic mushrooms, chicken wings! ahh! not into sweets as much!

My favorite starter plate is either nachos or deep fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, yummy! ;-)

well, thats a tricky one.....if it was a bit more acceptable, I'd probably opt for a started and a pudding, with no main! But normally I look at the menu before deciding...or if everyone else is having one and not the other, I'll just do as they do!

Sometimes however, I have both...then I'm really full :-)

starter! im currently loving italian mozzarella/tomato/basil/avocado salady things.

the best pudding in the world is homemade courgette cake, warm, with cinnamon icecream... <drools>

or baci mcflurrys!

Starter; Soup or Quesadillas

sometimes if the meals are to big i would have a starter for my main and a dessert to round it off

Has to be a starter although I love pudds as well, my starter would be garlic mushrooms, then after my main meal if I can squeeze a bit more in I would have cheesecake with cream. Yummy!
