Grapes with seeds in them, I don't get it....why do people eat them when there are grapes w/o seeds?!

Question: I hate biting into a seed, then having to spit it out. I like seedless grapes better. Do grapes with seeds taste better or something?

We often buy concord grapes during the season. They are wonderful. My kids have always eaten them in spite of the seeds. They just kind of pop them and swallow them - they are much different than grocery store grapes. We went to our local farmers market over the weekend and my kids were deciding on what they wanted and I was shocked to have the farmer try and talk my kids out of wanting the grapes because of the seeds. I guess the kids do know any different. But - kind of like roses and thorns, we will take delicious grapes with seeds. You don't HAVE to spit them out - they are good for you. :)

Grapes with seed actually taste better. You can breed grapes with seeds to taste better, but you can't breed grapes with out seeds, period. It is ethnic, partially. Americans tend to like things sweet. Other types of grapes have a more complex flavor. That's why, you don't have too many wines made purely from the juice of THompson seedless.

The thing is... those seeds contains anti-oxidants! and it adds a lil' crunch to your grapes

Bboy has got it right... but you need to chew the seeds.
I suppose graps with seeds cost less. I prefer seedless but can't always find them.
