Sushi doesn't have to be raw fish. Sushi refers to the kind of rice it's made with. I'm vegetarian and there are actually lots of options for me (in response to the person who said "fish needs cooked.....")
I like sushi more.

I just had some for lunch! I was weary of sushi for a long time, but I found out that it is much like anything else, say, pizza. You can get really yummy pizza (like the kind from Costco!) or really crappy pizza, like the $1.00 microwavable pizza from Safeway. Yuck. It can be a whole different experience the kind of sushi you get, and where you get it from. I think I like the Ngiri ? style best, just the meat on top of rice, because of its simplicity, and you can taste both flavors well. When it is rolled, you get seaweed, vegetables, cream cheeses, etc. and its too complicated for my palate. I like simple ngiri. Freshwater eel with teriyaki sauce is delicious. I also like Yellowtail. Buttery soft meat!
I like the simple, plain kind- a piece of ordinary fish (ie looks like a fish, swims like a fish!) on rice. But rolls with avocado are great too.
