Other than too much sodium, as you have already pointed out . . . nothing bad, except maybe too much fat.

Not only is olive oil not saturated, it's one of the few sources of monounsaturated fat. Best kind for you! :o)

If you're slender, no worries. If chubby, restrain yourself a little. 1/2 a jar only! :o)

Eww, olives. Yuck.

I'm with you there I love them too!!! there OKAY for you

along with sodium if you check the nutrition label you will find that they also contain saturated fat which is not good for you.

Olives delay the effects if ageing and also protect against rheumatoid arthritis. Olives are also linked to a reduced
breast cancer risk.

How much olives should you eat?
Olives have a high salt content, therefore people with high blood pressure should not eat too many. Olive oil can be used as a dressing and in cooking. It is also high in calories.

Raw olives do not taste pleasant and are usually pickled or marinated in salt or oil. Extra virgin olive oil is richest in phenolic compounds.

However, olives are actually a very healthy fruit, one that's been lending superb nutrition to mankind for centuries. So there's no need to pass up that tempting olive bar at the market any longer -- olives are good for you!

Green olives are an excellent source of vitamin E oil. So there's a benefit to that. A few (5) per day are okay - but don't overindulge.

Like you said, the sodium content in not good for you, it's not going to help your blood pressure.

I love them too. I don't think they are bad for you. They do have alot of sodium though, so you might need to watch that.
