Another watermelon question. When you cut into a watermelon how long does it last for? As they are quite big?!

Question: And I only want to eat 1-2 cups a day (slice a day)

You can also chop in chunks and store in the freezer!!! Yummy

how sharp is tour blade...?

well it take us (my wife and me) about a week to eat one, one slice a day(seedless it's a bit smaller) just keep covered and in the refrigerator

Are watermelons even available this time of year? They come in all sizes. If you only want to eat a little at a time, you're best getting a small one, which is about the size of a volleyball. They should be eaten as quickly as possible but you can keep them about a week before they start to go bad, as long as it's wrapped up and stored in the fridge after each serving.

Watermelons self life is typically 3 days after you slice it. Not the best thing you could do to prolong this is when you cut it only cut of a slice at a time and wrap the end in plastic wrap and put a big rubber band around it. Then if that end looks a little mushy the next time you want to eat a slice you can cut off just a little bit then underneath that should be fine. OR you could just slice it all at once and put it in tupper ware. It will still hold up for 4-5 days or so. I wouldn't eat it once it starts to get really mushy, although it will not hurt you.

Real difficult to get a small watermelon just enough for small family. . . . . i understand totally.

Try to finish soonest possible.

Juicing them will be a good choice.

I normally cut them into small chunks and freeze them. Throw them into the blender and you have a homemade watermelon sherbet (pure natural source - no coloring and sweetener)

My kids love it.

I've tried using other fruits like mangoes and honeydew and i have the same marvellous results.

wrap it in cling film and put it in the fridge and it should last for 3 days
