Why coffee makes me sleep when they say it makes you awake?!

Question: you probably have a higher caffeine tolerance, so it takes more shots for you because you can feel the effects. Same goes for me too, I can drink coffee or tea just before bedtime.

Coffee will keep you awake b/c of caffeine. It is a stimulant that boosts your alertness level.

because you're so tired you're hopeless.

Well, it depends on how much caffeine you are having throghout the day!? If you drink soda, too much soda and than coffee, that is why, when you drink too much caffeine, than it crashes you after a while, that is why it makes you sleep. However, once cup and one cup only of coffee every day helps you prevent cancer, too much may cause calcium pockets in women's breasts.

the caffeine effects some people that way caffeine is a stimulant which will wake most people up but some especially people with ADD or ADHD it will calm them down and and help them focus on one task at a time. I have ADD and have had it all of my life and coffee helps me focus so I can function in the world

Sounds like your the same as me. I can drink coffee, or red bull, before bed time and still sleep well. Some people just have a higher caffeine tolerance.

because u drink too less...& light coffee.

I don't know but it does me the same way. I guess maybe because it's a warm liquid and it seems to calm you down

It may be because you are hyperactive. Do you get very alert when you take a sleeping pill? Do you *buzz* on valium? Ask your doctor to test you for hyperactivity or ADD.

Its just a lie my dear

you arent drinking the right coffee :)
