Was there ever a time u saw an animal being killed for food & then suddenly u wasn't in the mood to eat meat?!

Question: That happened to me on one Thanksgiving Day. A family member of mines took a turkey she had in the barn to prepare it. i heard was a loud sound & the next thing i knew i saw a headless bird flying in the air with blood splurting out of it's neck. After a few seconds it fell to the floor. Needless to say that was one Thanksgiving i didn't eat turkey.

Yes....grew up on a farm knew they butchered the animals but never witnessed it.....One day I went to the barn for something just in time to see my Dad n the others put a block n tackle around the cows head n pull it to the floor.....beat it with a sledge hammer in the head. I walked away n got sick. Didn't eat beef for a long time after that!

I had a similar experience, except I saw a pig being butchered. Luckily I don't eat pork, but when I saw everyone else eating it, I was like, "You knew that animal!" It was my grandmother's pig. I had named it 200.

No. I lived in the jungle for several years.

I luckily have not seen an animal being killed right infront of me but some weeks ago I went to my grandparents place to get some lamb/hogget etc off them since they'd had someone around to slaughter their sheep.
Eventhough I'm an omnivore I felt abit ugh seeing a sheep carcass hanging up and different cuts of meat laid out on a table.

I used to be an office furniture delivery man, I was delivering furniture to an abattoir once, and I saw all these sheep being led into the building and I felt kind of bad. They also had this area where they had all the sheep-skins stacked up on pallets, they kind of looked like those tiger rugs, but "sheep rugs" if you know what I mean.
It kind of put me off the idea of meat for a bit, but I got over it and I still love doner kebabs!

nope sorry. Maybe I'm a cold hearted b!tch but I love meat. Yum

My experince is a little different. We went crabbing. Had fun, caugth a lot of crabs. Brought them home to cook. Well I couldn't eat the crabs, they had become my friends.

Yes, my hubby is a hunter and we eat lots of deer, bear, and everything we kill! We don't like antelope from Wyoming though since all they eat is sage...they taste a little too sagey. But I grew up on a farm and we butchered to eat. So it isn't offensive to me. We are definitely Carnivores!

No, I never saw an animal killed for food, so I did not have that happen about not wanting to eat, even thinking about it did not bother me. I guess that was a good thing.

Yeah I saw a pig being slaughtered once and that thurned me off of pork for a few months.
