Ya. I love cooking. Making Italian and Mexican dishes... mmm tacos. hah I learned from my grandmother and my dads friend huan. But i didnt learn because i wanted to. I learned because i needed to. I lost my mom when i was 5 due to breast cancer. Ive grown to love cooking for myself and teach a couple of my friends.
Yes I can.
And the wife taught me how to do it . . .
I love to cook because unfortunately for me I love to eat. My dad ran a five star restraunt when I was growing up and as I got older I started to realise that a lot of places serve the most disgusting crap.....So instead of bitching about it I taught myself and with the Joy of Cooking got up to speed real quick.....
I problaby can if I put my mind to it, my mom kept trying to show me,,, but why bother.... thats what wifey's for.. i don't go asking her, nor would I expect her to mow the law or fix the roof.
good for you though,,, hope your not over wieght.
All three of my sons can cook and are the MAIN cooks at their homes. Their wives love it. They also help (majorily) with the house work. I taught my kids how to cook and made it fun for them to learn. They all (even the girls) enjoy cooking now.
I'm not quite sure why it is assumed cooking is a woman's work. Plenty of men have an interest in cooking, and who do cook. And there are plenty of women who don't (myself included). But food is a necessity, and it doesn't matter who cooks it. I think a more appropriate question would be, "for the humans...can you cook? If not, how and what do you eat?"
Just another necessary skill...plus each time you modify a recipe you learn something.
My dad learned to cook at age 60 when my mom passed, he made homemade noodles, and pies, he was the best. He is also gone now.
