Who invented Freddo Frog?!

Question: A guy called Harry Melbourne in the 1930s.

He was working for a firm called MacRobertson Chocolates who wanted to make chocolate mice.

Harry suggested mice might be a bit scary for the kiddies, and instead suggested trying a frog and made up a sample.

Freddo the Frog was born. Harry died aged 94 and at his funeral a flag with Freddo on it was draped over his coffin.

As is the way with things like this, Harry earned not a single cent from his idea.

cadburys ? or

Cadbury's Australia continues to cloud Freddo's history as details of inventor and company become confused.
Cadburys conflicting Histories:

Harry Melbourne (1930 McPherson)

Lesley Atkinson (1929 MacRobertson)

Despite the above confusion, Cadbury's spokesmen have denied any rumors that Freddo was not invented in Australia and rebuff suggestions that this is another example of a large commercial company rewriting history.

Ooo...good question. haha. i love that stuff since i was a kid. so yummy. oh and the caramel koala is nice too.
