Answers: No. By law they must charge no more than the price on the item. If they don't want to sell at, or below the marked price, then they reserve the right to refuse the sale, but can NOT charge OVEr the marked price.

No they have to charge at the price advertised. Or they have to take all the stock from the shelve that is label up at that price.
not if iron bru company said it was 1.19 they would have them reduced for traders to buy and sell them at that price i'd contact irn bru and tell them aswell.

I bought a few items in a "local" shop the other day and watched in amazement as he rang everything up once, bagged it, and then went 'um hold on' and then he pulled about 4/5 items out the bag and re scanned them... cheeky sod!! not amused, I made him clear his till, and do it properly, he had tried to charge me ￡5. over... HUH??
