What's the difference: Sub, Hoagie, and Grinder?!
Thanks!
Answers: Are there differences or is it just a regional name thing?
Thanks!
Okay from living in Philly ,a Hoagie is different from a Sub or a Grinder. A hoagie has olive oil, seasons, and a different kind of roll than the other two. Most people think the roll is toasted and its not!
Regional names for the same sandwich
Nothing. It just depends on where you live.
yum! you are making me hungry!
I always thought they ran along the same line......different names used for the same product....but I could be wrong

There is a difference in the way they come. Some are made with pepperoni, ham, and salami. Some are made with a steak patty. Some are made with bologna, ham, and pepperoni. There are a few other variations. So, when ordering any of these, you better make sure you know what you are getting.
Same sandwich, different regional names. Oh, and don't forget the Po'Boy.
