Can I eat rice that sat out overnight?!

Question: There's nothing in it, just saffron and salt.

Answers: There's nothing in it, just saffron and salt.

Definately not. It's the rice itself that you have to worry about.
Rice, grains and flours contain Bacilus Cereus.
Uncooked rice can contain spores of Bacillus cereus, bacteria that can cause food poisoning. When the rice is cooked, the spores can survive. Then, if the rice is left standing at room temperature, the spores will germinate into bacteria. These bacteria will multiply and may produce toxins (poisons) that cause vomiting or diarrhoea. Reheating the rice won't get rid of these toxins.

So, the longer cooked rice is left at room temperature, the more likely it is that bacteria, or the toxins they produce, could stop the rice being safe to eat.

Not really.

no u can't

my friend works at a sushi company and the food and safety police say that after about 2 or 4 hours the rice is bad. Really you should not do that too often. i have done it but its not good for you.

No, I eat rice everyday, and u need 2 cook it EVERYDAY.

if it doesn't smell that bad that go ahead get full :)

If you've refrigerated the rice and it's not spoiled, no problem. A better solution will be to make fried rice with it.
Heat up a pan, put some oil, put the rice in, stir fry a little bit, break an egg or two over it, add whatever ingredients you fancy, stir fry somemore.........and wala! You got a meal!
