Yes it is very necessary to eat vegetables. Most are enriched with vitamins that our body thrives on. It also helps keep you regulated. Most people don't know that lettuce(like in salads) contain nothing that our body needs. Its cellulose and our digestive system does not break it down.
Yes because with out them you can get sick just like if you don't have any dairy or calcium products or depending on who you are if you don't eat meat. Without them we wouldn't have our minerals and vitamins because long ago we wouldn't have them because there were really no multi vitamins.
