Cover it in normal salt then heat the griddle to as hot as it can get. As soon as the salt starts turning brown kill the heat let the griddle cool down then remove the salt. A light coat of oil then prior to cooking.

Coat in oil and heat til you get plenty of smoke and allow to cool.

You can repeat this several times over.

Actually, the proper way to season a griddle, is by coating it with a light coat of oil, and place in the oven, on low heat, about 300°F for about 20 mins until the oil is dry. Let it cool, and you're ready to go.

RUB ALL OVER WITH VEGETABLE OUL AND PLACE IN A HOT OVEN FOR TWO HOURS LET COOL AND THEN REPEAT THE PROCESS

i rub with oil and let it season in the oven on bout 250 for couple hours....after doing that a few times its good to go....but always hand wash and towel dry right away...

Coat it with oil and bake it in the oven...reapply the oil several times...it'll be seasoned
