Vanishing Lollipops?!

Question: We were going through some boxes that have been stored for a couple of years and found a bag of goodies from a past birthday party. To our amazement, the sucker candies/ lollipops have vanished from their wrappers! We have empty clear wrappers with white sticks protruding from them; several of them. There is no trace of candy inside the sealed wrappers, no residue, no coloring, no signs that candy was even there with the exception of one lollipop wrapped in Dum Dum fasion with a speck of red candy at the end of the stick. How is this possible? This isn't a riddle, it's just a very strange phenomenon.

I suspect ants. Given enough time they can clean out a lot of things as they can get into the tiniest spaces.

Not sure you would think if it got warm and melted you have residue?and theres usually sticking residue where the lollipop has been?no idea really weird!!

Have you met Casper the ghost? That might be your answer.

You must have purchased those new 'helium' Lollipops', and you're lucky to still have the wrappers and sticks ::
If they weren't stored in a box they would have gotten so light the sticks and wrappers would float and fly away!
I got nuttin' for ya!
