I was curios about oysters?!

Question: Last night we went out for supper and I ordered oysters, just for fun because they were really cheap. They were supposed to come live. I didn't even taste them because they looked so slimy..and *shudders*. But i wanted their shells so i asked the waitress to pack me the shells. I scraped the last bit of flesh from the shells (I used my hands) and washed my hands- about 16840498 times. But the problem is they still smell like fish. Infact- they stink!!! How do I get the smell to go away?

lots of fresh lemon juice

put your fingers up your a r s e, you sound gay enough, so its a win win situation for you

Put them in the oven on a low heat with some lemon juice on them for about half an hour.

I know this one..Salt and lemon juice ...O guess lemon washing up liquid should do the trick

Sometimes there is just no way to get the smell of fish or seafood off of your hands…. Just wash and give it time. However I have found that lathering my hands up with shaving cream and then washing them often works to remove heavy smells like fish.

I have no idea..But i think oysters are great, apparently they are allowed on the London underground and buses now.. isn't that amazing

cut a lemon in two & rub it on ur hands!
make sure that you have no cuts as the juice from the lemon will burn!
it works!
i promise u.....

Hi JD
Nothing to do with your problem but I had a dozen oysters last night cos someone told me that they were good for sha...ing but only 11 of them worked. I am going to complain

I take it you're not from my neck of the woods-- here near the Chesapeake Bay? We love them so much many of us would wear that sent as a cologne!

With that said, perhaps you should try them cooked. There's a whole world of great recipes which are nothing like raw oysters. It's not Thanksgiving around here without the oyster stuffing. You should at least get them steamed next time.

I'd say lemon juice

You can boil the shells in water and vinegar. Put them outside, rain and sun. The smell will eventually go away.
