Is anything wrong with Kroger brand butter?!

Question: I have noticed that, even after having a stick of butter in a covered butter tray at room tempurature for about a week; that the butter doesn't soften up any. Are they adding / ( to much ) wax, now to butter?

I have noticed the same thing when I have bought it and I was wondering if I was the only one who had noticed this? I would leave a stick of Kroger brand butter out to soften out and it never would,so then I just went back to buying either name brand butter or Wal-Mart's brand of,"Great Value,"butter, and NOT ONE TIME when I have purchased Wal-Mart's butter, have I ever had the problem that I did with the Kroger brand of butter.

The Wal-Mart brand of butter softened up very nicely, and it tasted very good too! I purchase Wal-Mart's brand of butter all of the time, because it tastes very good and it softens up when you have it out in room temperature very nicely! ;-)

It could be that the room isn't warm enough. I have noticed this with my butter lately too. It is still pretty hard and not very pleasing to spread. I think with mine it is because of the drop in temperature outside. My kitchen is just a bit chilly now and the butter doesn't seem to want to warm up. I don't think it is the Kroger brand butter having too much wax...but it could be!?!

I have noticed that all butter or margerine is strange for the last year or so. It doesn't melt nicely at all, it sometimes tastes like spoiled milk, or it boils away to nothing but a glob of bubbly, disgusting residue !
Maybe all this hype (from New York City and other places) banning trans fat or fear of lawsuits has scared the makers of butter and margerine into making batches of weirdness that may not make anyone fat, but tastes like crap and looks like toxic waste.

why dont you eat it and find out?...........
