Microwave steaming bags?!

Question: Hello...
I just tried a Glad Simply Cooking Microwave Steaming Bag that my daughter gave me
I put 8 frozen shrimp in and cooked them for 3.5 minutes...
After eating half of them I got a waxy feeling all over the roof of my mouth...
has anyone tried these bags with frozen shrimp and did I do something wrong?
That was half an hour ago and I still have this waxy coating feeling in my mouth... ????

Yikes! That doesn't sound good at all.

I haven't used those, but I have used the Steam Fresh bags of vegetables that they sell in the freezer section of the grocery store without any problem. I'd call Glad and tell them what happened. Maybe they can suggest something for you!

the steam bags are not that great for cooking meats and sea food the only time that i found them to be helpful with my cooking is vegetables...
