Does any one know the herb that makes u loose you taste for a while - thx?!

Question: ok so a teacher at school had this herb that made you now taste for a while and well i wanted to try it and go eat stuff i hate lol if any one knows the name please help me ( i heard it can most likely be found at the local organic food store )
