When is a Sharan (Kaki) fruit good to eat?!

Question: I've only eaten them a couple of times before and loved them.. but that was a few years ago. Just found them in my local market but they were mostly rock hard and one or two soft ones and I wasn't sure which one were good, the hard or the soft - can't remember from before! Thanks for your help.

Your not looking for something solid, pick them so that they are slightly soft, not too soft either, you should be able to squeeze it a little.

"Sharon fruit" should be eaten when it's slightly soft.
