tv and radio
No effect whatsoever on me, through TV, mags, posters. I find alot of adverts especially tv a nuisance....
probley new release dvds, makes me wanna go and buy them.
m&s always have some good posters on billboards! theirs makes me want to go and have a look round, maybe buy.
also cleaning products, im a cleanaholic so im always buying new ones out etc
There is no advertising that makes me buy a product, I buy a product based on personal use......... otherwise, I usually can't afford it........ hahahahahah
None at all
Very few people will admit that advertising affects the purchases that they make, mainly because admitting this make us feel like we're not making up our own minds. Therefore, advertisers usually measure the effectiveness of advertising by looking at measures like whether sales increase following the campaign, or whether more people recognise the brand name after the campaign. Try looking at the Advertising Age website for more info.
I think adverts. They catch your attention and they inform you about the product. Especially if they have a great jingle, it makes you remember that jingle when you see the product. Take cadburys flake for example, or club biscuits. Everyone knows those jingles!!
Ads really annoy me. They just spoil TV programs.
I think ads work more indirectly. I don't decide I want to buy something based on the ads so much, but the ads to make you "recognize" something.
But then id someone says they like the product, or you see a lot of people with the product, and you remember hearing about it through the ads, then you are more likely to buy it.
i admit some magazine adverts have maybe influenced me into buying a product but i wouldnt be brainwashed into it
i just find tv adverts annoying
A good 'jingle' or catch phrase is essential. If it is used on the TV and radio, then I find I can't get the blasted thing out of my mind. I have absolutely no intention of buying a ksv vending machine from kent, but I can still recall the name and advert heard, -way too often- on Southern FM.
I keep the adverts on mute so am not influenced into buying anything
Im careful with money and only buy if I need it, it is quality and, after some research I buy from the cheapest source
Advertising has 0% effect on me, if it has any it might make me look at a product, then I decide it is too expensive as the company have adverts to pay for and I but a cheaper rival (get it?)
The m&s ads always makes me hungry
About 2 Christmases ago M&S started their M&S foood advert and it kicked off with chocolate puddings. I was in the M&S food hall the following day and bought quite a few of them. It is the first time that I knowingly acted on an advertisement on TV.
I do know that looking back I did buy products advertised on TV but didn't realise until weeks later.
For the most part...NO...advertising is so bad it just makes me laugh...sometimes I try and think about what product they just advertised for and I can't figure it out. The saddest part of rotten advertising ...is not that someone wrote that crap...it's that someone actually bought it!!!
I see most advertising on TV and occasionally on Billboards. I probably retain 2% of what I see only because that's about the percentage of advertising that isn't garbage.
Oh...and don't even get me started on Internet POPUPS!!!!
I think I find tv advertising the most effective...i have bought products before because i liked the advert ! I don't take that much notice of posters and magazine ads unless it is something that interests me.
