Can you freeze milk to prevent it from going off?!

Question: Good question. You can freeze milk and keep it for quite a while. You will probably get some precipitation of the protein (casein) which will look like small white curds that won't redissolve but they won't hurt you. If you waited too long to freeze it the flavor might be a bit yeasty. Good Luck

yes

Yes. Freezing does change the color slightly and it has a very short shelf life once thawed. However there is no noticeable difference in taste.

Yes, parents did it all of the time when I was growing up. You just have to defrost it and give it a little shake. The milk will be fine.

of course but only once

yes as long as you empty some out to allow for expansion if you dont the container may burst.....seamanab

yes, but may become a bit watery after thawed!

No, generally speaking you shouldnt freeze milk or cream. Sure, you will stop it from going bad but it tastes weird when it thaws out.
