What types of food should i eat the day before a marathon race [carbo-loading foods?]?!


Question: i have a huge race coming up and i always hear about how people eat a ton of food the night before, typically high in carbohydrates, to get tons of energy. What are some good kinds of food for carbo-loading?

I ran the Boston Marathon and the Cape Cod marathon, both in 2004. I wouldn't eat anything that your not accustomed to eating in your training. I eat a diet low in carbs as is, but the day before both marathons, I had about 3/4 of a box of ziti for carbs. I dont think it makes any sense to go crazy stuffing yourself with pasta, if you've trained hard you have nothing to worry about. Good Luck!

eat some meat ,cotton candy ,cerial and milk ,vegetable , chicken noodle soup.
