Why do I feel bloaty when drinking milk?!
Answers: I feel really bloaty after drinking milk or a milkshake. I'm half asian and my family barely drinks any dairy. Cheese is ok though.
Perhaps you are borderline lactose intolerant -- it's not that uncommon in Asian populations. Cheese may not bother you because the lactose amounts are different in cheese than in plain milk. You could try drinking lactose-free milk and see if it sits better with your gut. I don't know if I have a help for you with milkshakes. However, my college roommate would take Lactaid capsules before her meals, and then her dairy was fine; now they make a chewable! Maybe try those and see if your stomach feels better. Good luck!
you may be at the beginning stages of being lactose intolerant
you may have lactose intolerant the have over the counter medications for that
It sounds like you are lactose intolerant, and if you take lactaid tablets before you eat or drink any kind of dairy products, that should help. Lactaid should be able to help you tolerate dairy products alot better without the bloating or diarrhea symptoms which can occur quite frequently in lactose intolerant patients.
you could be lactose intolerant. Many people are. I'm not really lactose intolerant, but milk doesn't quite sit right with me- it makes me bloated and tired.
Try yogurt (the lactose has been altered by the good bacteria in yogurt, so it's good if you're lactose intolerant), soymilk w/ calcium, or just eat cheese, if you like it.
