Whats the difference between Apple Cider and Apple Juice?!

Question: They taste the same to me.

Answers: They taste the same to me.

Good! A question that Cider can answer!

Cider is basically the result of a squeezed apple. Juice is purified and pasteurized.

Apple juice is pasteurized. Apple cider is not apple cider uses the entire apple.

Apple cider is fermented, at least the apple cider they call "hard cider." That means it has turned to alcohol. Apple cider gets you drunk. Apple juice is good for you.

apple juice is juice. apple cider is basically sparkling cider

Cider uses the whole apple. Juice is just the extracted juice.

The extra pulp in th apple cider supplies the basis for what would eventually ferment if the cider is allowed.

Both apple cider and apple juice have been pasturized. Apple cider hasnt been clarified. It is pressed right from the apple, and left in its natural state without any filtering. Natural cider doesnt have carbonation in it either. If you are thinking of hard cider, that is simply cider flavored beer, much like a wine cooler. Sparkling cider is actually apple juice with CO2 added to it. Hope this helps.

Apple Juice the apple is crushed for the juice and then filtered strained and cleared of any imperfections so it is clear and clean looking
Apple Cider is crushed but is not filtered out as finely it is a deeper color and leaves more the apple taste.
