Are you a member of Sam's Club?!
Answers: Considering that you have to pay a fee to belong to Sam's club. Do you find the prices there any better even compared to a local Super Wal-mart?
I will never PAY a business for the privilege of spending money in their store.
I was a member a couple years ago. A lot of what they sell is in bulk, so when you look at it that way, you are paying less for each item. As far as single items, I'm not really sure how the prices compare. But you can shop there as a guest and pay a 10% fee if you buy something, or just go in there and look around to see how much things cost.
I have a Sam's club membership and it does have it's benefits. If you plan on purchasing 20+ boxes of mac and cheese then you need a membership. Everything at Sam's is sold in bulk, so if you have no place to store it, don't become a member, it's hardly worth it!
Yes,
The membership fee is like $35 per year or so.
They have a lot of items that are nice to get in bulk that you generally can't find other places. (big boxes of laundry detergent, packages of paper towels, etc.)
We do not have a Sam's Club here but a Costco instead. They are about the same and I do all my shopping at Costco. With a $100 membership you get 2% back and I received a refund of about $90 last year.
The prices are much better at a membership store but the selection is very limited. There may be only one or two brands of each product.
?
Some of their prices are better
I am a member of Sams but there is no Super Walmart where I live. However, Sams also sells tires for my car, TVs, etc all at a great discount so it pays to pay their fee.
I would say yes, but it depends on how much you are buying for, because they sell in bulk. One thing that is worth the membership price is the gas alone. Especially with the prices of gas going the way they are, Sam's Club is about 20 cents less then the market around it. I used to live within 10 miles of Sam's Club, and I loved it, and would spend about $100 a month there. I bought a years worth of toilet paper for $10.00, so for me it was more than worth it.
I have a membership and it was about 40 for the year, but between stuff for my house and my job it is worth it. I run a non profit animal rescue center and I buy lots of dog/cat food and cat litter etc. I get 10 more pounds of litter for 75 cents less than petsmart. so for me its worth it. plus with 3 teens I need to buy large!!!
Absolutely not. I shop there for the convenience of bulk items for my business, not that it is such a good deal.
my parents are but i aint!!!
I am a member. I think the prices are better in things I buy in bulk such as toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, laundry detergent, and some foods such as a case of mac n cheese, spaghetti sauce, cheese slices and even my choice of beer is cheaper by the case at Sam's.
I like to entertain guests in my home and when I plan to have people over, I can buy enough for everyone at Sam's and save a little too.
You really have to weigh the costs to see if it is worth it. A card costs about 35$. Most of their items are cheaper because they come in bulk. Where you really save is if you buy a lot, (esp. if you have a baby or a big family it's probably worth it.)
Here's a link where you can get an idea of the prices:

You may want to change the club location to where you are to get a more accurate price (located at the top of the page). Then click on the groceries tab or whatever else to get an idea of prices and weigh the cost.
If you are going to go there a lot, it's probably worth it. If you only want to buy mac n cheese in bulk there, you probably won't really get your moneys worth.
