Why it isn`t healthy to use metal spoon with honey?!

Question: Honey is slightly acidic in pH, so it may react with metal. However, millions of people all over the world scoop honey using metal spoons every day with no ill effects, so I'm not sure why anyone would concern themselves about it, regardless of whether or not it has significance. Most people use honey as a sweetener, and using a metal spoon to stir honey into your food or drink doesn't negate the sweetness.

Certain kinds of monofloral honies are purported to have special antibacterial properties, and some people believe that using a metal spoon will "spoil" the rest of the honey.

A dirty spoon can hasten the spoiling of honey, but that's just as true of any other food.

In conclusion, until I see valid scientific evidence backing these ideas, I would disregard them as psuedoscience, health food community pap, and/or old wives' tales.

There is no such thing.

havent heard about that
dunno

hmmm, that's a new one. i think it's ok to use a metal spoon with honey.

because when you eat it you might poke your eye out

It's not?

I'm screwed.

i didnt know that...

maybe theres a bad chemical reaction...?

or maybe it makes the honey taste bad

I don't think there is a problem with it being not healthy.
It might be a problem to wash the honey off!!!

that has tobe one of the dumbest things i ever seen,, their is nothing wrong with eating from a metal utencil except alluimnum, why?? simple alluminum is a deadly poision when ingested ,, it takes large amounts though .. the thing is it accumalates over time in our bodies,, alluminum is hard to flush out of our system because we get so much of it in our diet.. oops another time..

Whew! I'm lucky to still be alive after jeopardizing my health this way!
