I think that is achievable, I spend about similar to that and their are 4 of us,2 never full teenage lads! I find that one week I'll buy coffee, another soap powder etc so the expensive items are split up. I also go about an hr before the store closes to get the bargain bin goodies. And as someone else said, never shop when you are hungry!

I spend about $65 a week on just my boyfriend and I and our cat. Is that Lira? If it is then you are only spending about $50 dollars in american money, for 4 ppl then that is really good! If you try really hard you might be able to do this! People live on a lot less. I buy a lot of things that I know that we don't need.

i spend 250 bucks at the grocery store every monday

buy stuff thats on sale. and buy meals that are gonna be cheap but wy to big to eat in one night. leftovers are disgusting i think personally but, it saves money and is still go to eat. Hope i helped.

I spend anywhere from $60 - $180 per week for a family of 3. And I bargain shop... If is on sale and it is non-perishable I stock up..

I spend about £90.00 on 3, but i like my family to eat well so i make alot of my own stuff like pies, burgers and lots of different recipes with good ingredients, that budget seems a bit small to me but it depends on what you buy

Anything is possible.

There are families in Africa who feed a family on almost nothing, it's all about your preception of food, what you expect to see on your plate and what sacrifices your prepared to make.

Buy own brand products, buy in bulk, buy from cash and carrys if you know anyone with a card and plan what your going to buy.
If you have a pre-prepared menu for the week with a specific list you will avoid impulse purchases and eat what you have paid for rather than letting food pass the use by date to end up in the bin.

And of course, you NEVER shop while hungry.

Buy in bulk where you can.
Look for weekly specials.
Do a shopping list.
Resist those end of aisle temptations.

Just a few words of guidance as I don't live in the UK, but they are internationally recognised norms.

£60 is a lot of money in our dollars and I think I would manage.

I spend about $75-$80 per week for just me and my boyfriend but we cook almost every night. For four people, I'd say about $125-$150 a week should be okay.

I think that's outstanding budgeting. We spend a little more for only two. But in the U.S.A. most people tend to buy convenience food and precooked and processed foods, which explains why so many of us are way over weight. Strange thing is; our food is mainly tastless, and european food ia a real treat.

hi, i live in italy. we have 4 in our family counting me. we spend more than 100 euros when we go to a grocery store but we buy everything! veggies meat bread sweets desert salad dressings napkins flour wheat eggs milk and so on.

You are going to have to plan what you eat everyday and then make a list. I have a family of 5 and usually spend around £60 per week. Morrisons is a good place to shop as they always have those buy one get one free offers on.
