Global branding... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7727...

IMHO they should remain by the name that we all know than as, why name a chocolate bar after running shoes? or what ever they were named after, it will always be a Marathon bar to me. I'M just wondering when Maltesers are going to be renamed whoppers like I found in the US candy stores & supermarkets, not even as nice as Maltesers either.

Personally I think their should be a national campaign for chocolate identity and we keep our home product, you don't see other countries renaming their sweets like here in the UK, why is it we always have to sacrifice OUR identity, sweets & chocolate are what make Britian Great.

it has been daim for ages!! about 3 years i reckon

To harmonise product names across Europe,,,,Jif became Cif etc but what is Cilit Bang all about ?

Stuff Europe. Bring back British names.

Boycott snickers until they give it its real name. Long live Marathon!

I'm with Daniel, and I've never been able to look at "cif" without thinking "V.D" lol

and starburst, i still call them opal fruits and my kids just look at me!!

oh yes yes yes lovely stuff, reminds me a bit of space dust though, which is good too. What about wham bars and the like????? it is worth losing a filling over once and a while hee heee...... excuse the last hee I just nearly choked on a bit of refresher bar......

Yeh, it has been Daim for ages but I think it's because some German company bought it so wanted a name in their language...not really sure WHAT origin company...

I didn't know that either. I never really liked Dime bars anyway so now that I can't remember what they are called I won't buy them!
