    Anything with a seed in it is a fruit. Therefore, tomatoes are fruits.

    Any chef should know that a tomato is a vegetable culinarily speaking. Horticulture aside, you'd never put a tomato in a fruit salad.

    Botanically a tomato is a fruit. The definiion of the word "fruit" has nothing to do with sweet taste or the kind of dishes commonly made from the item.

    many say it is a veggie, but were proven wrong when established to be a fruit, what people don't know is that this matter was taken to court in the 70s or 80s and it was legally established that it is infact a vegetable
