What's the difference between Betty Crocker cake mix and Pillsbury cake mix?!

Question: don't they taste the same? if not, how so? which one is the one that has a funny, chemical-like after-taste? because i just bought some betty crocker cake mix, and i'm not sure if that was the one that didn't taste as good

I beleive it is the name only.. I always add butter instead of maragrine or oil
