I love it too, but the type you describe is the sliced variety, have you never had the whole black pudding ? boiled and simmered in salted water, then sliced in half and eaten with mustard salt and vinegar,

I buy about 90p worth every week and my husband has it for breakfast every day of the week with other fry up things.

I love it fried in thick slices and sprinkled with sugar, no kidding.
I've also tried black pudding in the north of Spain stuffed with rice and onion, but the best one has to be in the Canary Islands with raisins and pine nuts.
Black pudding in Glasgow is the best - along with square sausages.
