Can anyone tell me what the seasoning is on top of chinese crispy seaweed?!

Question: first off its not actually seaweed, its deep fried cabbage, spring greens are normally used
the topping you describe varies, but is usually a mix of MSG(monosodium glutamate)shrimp paste five spice and palm sugar

It's a Chinese product called shredded dry fish.
It's been shredded so thoroughly that it looks like powder.
I believe it's made of small dry fish. It's to give taste to the seaweed. It's in a red tin with a plastic lid which you can buy in Chinatown.
