Starbuck's Light Frapuccino?!
Answers: Hey I've always drank Mocha Frapucinnos, and I know they have light fraps now. My question is to someone who has tasted the regular and the light, does the light taste any different???
There is a different taste between light and regular. The main difference is 1) the consistency - Frappuccino Light is lighter and airier, whereas the regular is thicker; and 2) the mild Splenda aftertaste. Personally I like Frappuccino Light, so just remember that "different" doesn't always equal "bad." :-)
its not as rich, but tastes pretty much the same
The light mocha Frap tastes Less sweet. That is the only difference I have noticed
no not at all. they're both really good.
The light frapuccinos taste a lot more bluntly laid out, like you can taste the mocha much more. But if you get the normal kind it tastes a lot more creamy, and it tastes like the full package with that sugary whipped cream. I say that if you feel like you need something fattening and delicious, might as well go for the normal. But if you are like me and like to eat something delicious and not consume like half or alot of your daily calories at once, go with the light kind!
The light fraps taste just as good and they have about 130-180 calories for a grande size. I have tasted the mocha, coffee and caramel frapuccino's and am a huge fan!
I dont' taste much of a differenc except for the fact that the light ones taste a little less sweet.
The biggest difference to me is the light lacks all the whip cream they pile on the top. The whip cream is a nice treat, but if your wanting to cut out some calories..the light is best.
I always get the light caramel frap, it's fabulous & you do not miss any flavor.
I've worked at a Starbucks and honestly the only difference is that it's not as sweet, they use a lighter coffee-base and don't put whipped cream on it. The lighter frap mixes have 46% less fat and 1/3 less sugar.
