Can I get free food from a vending machine?!

Question: If I punch a hole on a coin, tie a string around it and drop it in the machine like a yo yo, will I still be able to get food from a vending machine?

Most vending machines have a highly sensitive computerized system in them now that reads several aspects of a coin. Weight, thickness, and edge treatment are often times the three things they measure. Drilling a hole in a coin will throw the weight off enough that the machine will reject it. This is why "slugs" or imitation coins no longer work. It may work on older machines that use a mechanical counter, but not on the newer ones that are common today.

Sure you can get free stuff fr. vending machines. Also you get three squars a day at rikers

Hahah Probably...kids did that back when I was in middle school...just shake the **** out of the machine...my best friend used to do that we got all kinds of free goodies.

No.

You can get a free ride in a police car though, I'm pretty sure.

You can try the shaking bit, and when the machine falls on you and you die, I get to read it on the Darwin awards for stupid people.

Nothing is free, my friend.

haha. Try it and let us know, if you make it out alive.

Yes of corse you can its really easy its probably like for every 20 they sell theres one free!

When my dad and his friends were in college, everyone in his dorm would do that at the washer machines. That was also in the 80's, if you tryed it now you would probably recieve some kind of sentence to sit in a cement cell for a couple of months. Who cares though, skip the quarter trick and shake the machine! The machines have stolen enough money from people before you.

Well this is not really "free food" it is called stealing.

That is a nasty crime because the people who own those machines have usually made an investment on the machines and usually make very little money to begin with. You STEALING from them ads insult to injury.

If you make a (poor) choice to do this then I hope you get caught and put in jail.

How would you like it if some one came to your house and just started taking food?

Anywho, plain and simple that is stealing and I hope you get caught!

When you were born, there was a hospital bill to pay.

You may have come out free, but somebody paid the bill!

And after that, you can get a few free nights in jail for robbing the machine. It doesn't belong to you, it belongs to someone who is trying to make a living. If you do this, I wonder what else you do to be totally irresponsible and a taker rather than a giver? Grow up, and ask what you can do for your country not what your country can do for you. The world has never been so bad as now, with people stealing rather than working to get what others have. Don't join in this degradation.
To get food, WORK!
