Is This Worth It? Selling Tamales?!

Question: Is it worth it to sell pork tamales 1 for a $1.

I mean after all the time and preparations let's say you sell 50 tamales for $50. Is it worth it for time, effort, and pay?

Make a profit. This is America. Offer one for a $1.25 or three for $3.00. People will be so happy to save $.50 it will be ridiculous. And if you want an even bigger profit raise it. It also should depend on how big you are making them. Tamales are great if they are good. Go for it.

I personally don't think so. For that profit margin considering how much time and money it takes to make 50 tamales I don't think that is worth it. Making a larger amount of them and selling them for more would take more time but probably make it a better pay off in the end.

I don't think so. If you don't have the supplies or equipment, you have to pay to purchase that. If you do and you make tamales but they don't sell, you're stuck with a bunch of tamales.

I would sell each pork tamale for at least $1.50. It would be worth the time, effort, and pay to make 50 tamales for $75. Good luck!

When I lived in California, many years ago, there was a restaurant called Pioneer Tamale. Their tamales were huge, and the sauce was magnificent! I don't know if that place still exists, but I would gladly pay $5.00 for one of those great tamales.
If you make great tamales, you can make money. Best of luck to you!
