How many people will be eating turkey this christmas now that bird flu has been confirmed?!

Question: would you still be buying turkey or would you go for another poultry product like chicken or duck of some other choice?

hatchoooooo...................kfc

ME.......ill be cooking mine in LEMSIP.....lol.

I'll still eat it.

bird flu is difficult to contract in humans and certainly even more so after it has been cooked (mrsa and bird flu are both definitely over hyped)

Still eating turkey. I still breathe the air & I know that's bad for me too. And lets not talk about the water. Life's to short to freak out over every little thing in the media.

thanks.. your a nice person to bring this up.. looks like im gonna skip christmas this year...

Being vegan and non-christian, it really isn't going to make a lot of difference to me.

me ill suffer the flu and die ! but i will have my xmas turkey !

Yes, I will be eating turkey, but as far as I know, chickens, ducks, and swans can also contract bird flu.

By Christmas time there will be birds available, even if they have to be imported.
There will also be tons of frozen birds in warehouses across the states.

Turkey, of course!

I was gonna go for goose anyway.

Turkey is traditional for Thanksgiving dinner in my family, so we're still eating it. And we'll have ham for Christmas which is also traditional.

I don't celebrate holidays but I do care if the meat is infected that I eat. Who said there is bird flu? I didn't see anything on that.

i will be having turkey too . Have one every Thanksgiving and Ham on X-mas.

Off base
you don't get Bird Flu that way
the cooking will kill that virus
Millions of birds will be cooked in the next few months.
just as the billions throughout the year..

We've always had duck, as long as I can remember. Much more flavorful and not nearly as dry. Fat content of duck is about 5 times that of turkey, so it tastes much better.

Decision isn't really based on bird flu, but on flavor.
