Why do people leave non freezeable items in the freezer at a grocery store?!

Question: Shoppers do that a lot at the Super Target I work at.

Answers: Shoppers do that a lot at the Super Target I work at.

I work in a very busy Whole Foods Market and people leave items in the freezer that are not intended to be frozen all the time. Most people don’t put an item back simply because they…. get lazy, to tired after a hard day of work, in a hurry, or have small bratty children with them. While that is understandable, most people stupidly don’t stop and think about the item in there hand. They don’t stop and ask themselves… Should it be refrigerated? Should it be frozen, or maybe room temperature? I’ve seen people place everything from lettuce to a champagne bottle in the freezer. Somebody left a box of ice cream sitting in the refrigerator which went unnoticed until the next day. Customers also don’t stop and think about the waste of throwing an item away.

The most appropriate thing for a customer to do is politely tell the cashier that they changed there mind on a particular item while checking out. Cashiers (who have good customer service skills) should be more than happy to take it off your hands. They can hand it over to a fellow employee who can put it in the appropriate place, which is important when an item needs to be kept cold. If you don’t want to face the cashier, at least put a refrigerated item in the refrigerated, or a frozen item in the freezer, or… well you get the idea. Pleeeeeeeease!!!

My biggest pet peeve are people who are to lazy and inconsiderate to put a shopping cart in the right place. People are generally too self-centered to think about someone else’s car getting scratched up if the wind decides to pick up. But that’s another question and post.

Because they are lazy

because they are too lazy to put them back where they got them from

really, weird! Hey BRAK!!!!!!!

It's called Impulse NOT buying my friend!

Because they are too lazy to put it back on the shelf they found it at.

cause they are idiots

Laziness & they don't care.

I,ve wondered about that too as I often pull the items out of the freezer and give them to a clerk since I hate to see things wasted.

Lazy and selfish. Same people who leave cold food out so it goes bad and can't be sold. Grrrr.

Just one answer:

Laziness

lllllaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyy

Me, i do it if I change my mind and don't want to walk accross the store to put it back

And I know some minimum wage making mongoloid will get to it eventually.
