What makes up the "cream filling" in hostess? snacks?!

Question: I MUST KNOW!

Answers: I MUST KNOW!

No, you really don't want to know. My bio teacher used to work in the factory where they package the hostess snacks... if the government knew what they were masking as real food, there would be an uproar and the american public would be suing left and right.

just enjoy your snack...dont wonder.

Lots of sugar and lard most likely...

Let me tell you, the "cream filling" doesn't contain an ounce of cream in it! Take a look at the list of ingrediants and what you'll find is oil, or shortening, fat, and fillers. If you love the things (like I do!) then you just eat and enjoy and don't indulge very often!

lard and sugar buddy, lard and sugar............

TWINKIES FILLING

1/4 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. granulated sugar
5 1/3 oz. Pet evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat the mixture without stopping for 30 minutes. Sufficient to fill 24 Twinkie cakes.

Lard and sugar. Here's a 'clone' recipe -
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. Carnation milk
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

All kinds of stuff you can't even pronounce, and that should never get into your mouth.
