How much salt do you put on your food? Or are you very good and don't add it to anything?!

Question: Just curious, these days we are told not to eat virtually, anything!! But I like salt on my food and I bet its bad for me?

I put salt on almost everything. Sometimes I even put it on food before I taste it and yes, I've suffered the consequences. It is bad for you but I figure that I get so few pleasures in life I'll leave it the way it is.

No need to add salt, there's enough in it already!

I don't add salt to anything except salad.

I don't add salt to anything, even when I'm cooking. There's enough salt in things without adding even more!

No salt. It's mostly in there.

I do use salt in cooking if it is required to taste....but chips are the only food I add salt to 'on the plate' as it were.

I only put salt on chip shop chips, I don't use it much in cooking either.

love salt especially chicken salt yum, i cover everything in it!

i never used to add salt to a thing, just a lil pepper, but then i met my hubby! he likes to season everything so now i tend to put salt in more and more.. should stop really

Havn`t used salt for probably 30 years now,,,,,or sugar, milk (I hate milk and always have done) tea and coffee,,,,

I usually don't add salt, but I'll sometimes put one shake or two on something.
When I was younger I used to eat salt.
I don't do it any more because I know my body can't deal with that forever, but I can while it's younger, but I've been stopping the excessive salt for a while now

Sometimes I'll use a lot on something.
Then my boyfriend likes to comment "Want some fries with that salt?" or whatever I happen to be eating at the time

i dont use salt anymore! i used to have loads when i was younger but i've grown out of it i think! :)

I only add a bit of salt to certain things like chips.

Actually, salt is not bad for you unless you are allergic to it. That is an absolute myth (that it's bad for you).

If you heard about the woman that died on the radio because she drank too much water... She could have lived if she had eaten a salt cube (or a couple) because it helps you reatin water.

I hardly ever add salt. Like other people have said, there's enough in food already.
I don't really miss having salt. It's more of a habit than a taste thing.
When I do use salt I use Lo-Salt which has less sodium and is better for you.

I don't add salt to my cooking, and because my kids are growing up with my cooking, they find things taste when salt is added. So they tend not to eat at other peoples homes. So i'm not sure whether I made the right decision in bringing them up with no added salt.

I to am a salt person. I don't add as much salt as I could.

ha ha ya salt is HORRIBLE 4 u! but i always eat a ton of salt on my food! i can't live without putting too much on it. well i don't like too too much but i like a lot! ya......i'll shut up now...

I have stopped putting it in the pan when cooking spuds or vegtables but might add it when the food is on the plate.

but with casseroles, spag bol, chilli, etc, I still put it in the pan - but don't add any more when plated.

My family have got used to this and do the same.

I couldn't eliminate it completely from my diet though! If you believe everything they ask you to take out of your diet you would not be able to eat anything.

I'm quite lucky,I don't really like allot of salt so I don't miss it but I know people who love salt,it go's on nearly every thing, now if your talking chocolate which is just as bad probably, well I could live on it,so i ent good really

I don't add salt to my food.

Never use extra salt - except on a poached egg

Some foods are just rubbish without salt. I just put it in whatever needs it. Ignore most of this paranoid health terrorism and enjoy life.

has to be on chips for me, bland without..
i do no bad wi all else

I hate salt on my food but well vinegar thats another thing i could drown my food in vinegar

i never have put extra salt on my food and never will i hate the stuff. well i hate shaking more on it lol. theres enough already in food why would you want more.

Now vinegar is another story i put so much on my chips they go soggy lol but still no salt!

Eeeeeh, salt, it's grand. I love it on me chips, me pies, I'll 'ave it on owt. Deep fried salt, ooooooh it's perfection. In batter. Wi' chips. And a pickled egg. Wi' one of those wooden forky things to eat it with. I spread salt on me driveway in t'winter and on me toast in t'morning.

i don't add salt to anything - not even chips. infact, i don't like getting chips from places like MacDonalds purely because they put way too much salt on them. salt is bad for u - in high enough doses it can actually damage your kidneys, and i believe it's not good for your blood pressure and heart either. just ask your doctor next time u have to visit him / her. i bet they will confirm that although a certain amount of salt is necessary in your diet, too much of it can be bad for your health.

my dad puts salt on just about any savoury meal - it drives my mum crazy.

i use salt i think some things it is needed on and if u exesize ushould be fine with u for all the othe pelpoe stop drinking sodas

I only add salt to chip shop or frozen chips or fish from the chip shop. I don't put it on anything else.

I do cook with it though, in potatoes, veg, scrambled eggs etc. I find if food is cooked well, I don't need to add it really.

I don't normally add any, except when I have fish & chips !!!!!
