No it's not. Olive oil contains a lot of Vitamin E which is good for keeping skin moist and supple. It can be eaten or rubbed on the skin.

I've heard it's good to rub into your skin, so why not try it?

Well I think if any of us knew the answer to that, we'd publish it before we wrote it on yahoo answers. But as for the Mediterranean selection of food, yes it is proven to be healthier in general.

You speak the truth. The olive oil is ingested and travels throughout the body. My friend rubs olive oil on her skin. She is 59 but looks 39, she is well preserved.
