What does it mean if you crack open an egg and the yolk is more of an orange than is is yellow?!

Question: I have heard that darker yellow/orange yolks are more nutritious and mean that the chicken had a better diet. When I get supermarket eggs they are much paler than local farm eggs.

Its bad only if in addition to the color there is blood present in the yolk. Egg yolk color can vary slightly depending on the breed of chicken and/or that chickens diet.
