Why isnt my coke and mentos experiment working??????????!
Answers: i have the DIET coke and mint mentos and i put 5 mentos in the coke and it shot out like an inch then stopped.... on you toob they make it go like 5 feet!!!
Did you put a tube in the coke bottle??? And are you supposed to shake the coke???
We did it in school, and we put a little paper tube in the opening of the bottle. It shot very far.....I'm not sure if we shook the coke bottle or not....

because when sugar react with coke it will become chemical reaction
more mentos and use a rolled up piece of paper to make them all drop in quickly
Try closing the cap and letting the pressure build. :)
do it quickly, look up the mythbusters episode where they did it, they made it go 32 feet
because regular coke works better

I don't know what you could possibly be doing wrong. It works every time for me. Are you doing it right after you open the cap?
it has to be a brand new coke and it needs to be a regular coke. you need to open it then put em in.
First, your coke may be old. Second, shake bottle then put in mentos.

Well, they probably did something to the coke/mentos to make it even more explosive. Do a search online or something.
you have to put a whole bunch of them in as fast as possible , then it should work
I remember seeing this on Mythbusters and I think they said something about diet Coke versus regular Coke. The regular stuff seemed to react better.
i think it's because it's diet coke.but that is AWESOME!!!!!!!
1. use regular mentos, not the colored ones
2. make sure they all go in at once, the whole pack
3. use a freshly opened bottle of DC, can't let it sit open for even a minute.
4. I've tried both and Diet Coke works a little better.

if its in a can of course it wont go 5 feet it should be in a 1.5 liter bottle of coke[i dont know if diet works] with 10 or more mentos then those mentos should go down at the same time or right away not one by one!!
