A quarter stick is 1/2 cup. So a half stick would be 1/4 cup. It says right on each quarter, although I wouldn't use margarine. Consider using butter... it's healthier than margarine. If you're baking, especially for company or for the holidays, don't compromise quality and flavor by using margarine.
