Is it possible that my body cannot tolerate meat and cheese?!

Question: Dairy does some very bad things to me... it makes me gassy. So does meat. It's so embarrassing since I'm gassy all the time; Isn't that weird? Should I try going vegan? I did it for two months without a problem. I don't know. I can't eat a cheese burger or BBQ wings without blowing up the house (lol). TMI?

It is the proteins in the food that is causing the problems. So even if you went vegan you could still have a problem if you ate to much soy, brocolli or beans.

Moderate to small amounts you should be okay just try to add more starch or vegetables when you eat dairy or meat and that should help. Otherwise just leave the windows open and have a lot of air freshener.

A vegetarian would definitely have an answer for this. jk. But in all seriousness yes this is somewhat true for some people, not really in the sense that they cannot tolerate meat and cheese, but their body has trouble digesting it. Certain proteins in meats and cheeses can be hard on many people, often making them tired and sick when they have trouble digesting meat.

It certainly is possible. I'm not so sure about meat, but dairy products do cause a lot of people problems. You may be lactose intolerant. You know your body better than anyone else, and you know what foods make you sick and which don't. If meat and dairy gives you gas, then stop eating them. Just make sure you get your calcium and protein from another source (like vegetables and nuts.)

It's possible that your body is lactose intolerant. Interestingly, if you are not Caucasian, your chances of being lactose intolerant are considerable once you're past puberty, although no one knows exactly WHY people of color lose the enzyme to digest milk (lactase) in adulthood. Before you try a drastic change in your diet, I'd try a lactase tablet with your meals such as Lactaid; if that's not available, I'm sure your pharmacist/chemist can recommend something similar.

The article below is a bit technical, but good if you don't mind giving it a few minutes of your time.

Good luck!

It's the hormones use to fatten up the cattle,
it causes you to get fat too, even when you don't eat that much...
I had the same problem; you don't have to go veg...
eat chicken fish turkey etc...
cook with olive oil not grease, eat pickles to help cut grease in your stomach.
you'll be healthier too !
