Food Saver VS. Seal a Meal?!

Question: I bought a seal a meal vs 220 vacuum food sealer, 6 months or so ago. It broke shortly after I bought it, or at least I can't get the vacuum part to work :) I am thinking about getting a Food Saver brand and I am wondering if it is worth the money. Any thoughts on this would be nice. I would really like to hear from someone that has had one for a few years to see if it will last. :) Thanks

Ive used 2 food savers over the last 8 years. I'd give them 4 out of 5 stars. You can get a deal on one if you go to ebay.
Right now I have the 550. Very good machine indeed.

I have had a sunbeam foodsaver for two years with no trouble The bags are expensive but I can get them much cheaper if you wish to contact me I am in Geelong Australia Cheers Bazz
